It’s really easy for anyone to pick up the ukulele. What’s more, the ukulele’s rich background offers a great range of music for everybody! There’s traditional Hawaiian music or modern and beautiful fingerstyle arrangements. Students graduate from learning easy pieces (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star) to intermediate pop songs (Sunflower – Post Malone). And eventually to advanced instrumental pieces (Boy Meets Girl – Jake Shimabukuro).
We conduct ukulele courses for just strumming and singing along, fingerstyle technique, and also graded examinations. Whatever suits you best!
Maybe I should sign up for a group class at the community center instead
While big group classes are definitely more affordable than our dedicated 1-to-1 lesson style, they offer a much slower learning curve. We do conduct group lessons too but we limit our group size to a maximum of 4 students. This is because our focus is to ensure our students learn well. Teachers can always focus and teach better with a smaller group or 1-to-1. Big group classes in a community center offer the opportunity to meet new friends but most find themselves learning nothing after a long period of lessons. We strongly suggest you consider what matters most to you.
